False Reliigions Restrictions

The Bible Gives A Warning To Christians the about False Teachers Regulations/Restrictions in Colossians 2:16-23.

"Therefore do not let any man judge you by what you eat or drink,or with regard to a religious festival, A New Moon celebration, or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow."- Colossians 2:16-19

"Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!" ? -vs. 20-21

"These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings."-vs. 22

"Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence." -vs.23

* God does not intend for us to refrain from eating certain foods based upon others teachings or from celebrating Thanksgiving, or other religious festivals, and so on.

False Religions Deny...

How are other religious teachings different than what Christianity teaches?
*This is a question that Greg Laurie-radio pastor on the 830 Am Station has been asked many times, along with others.

The answer is simple.

For starters other religions have many books that they use to teach their views.

Christianity on the other hand only uses the Bible.

Other religions deny the personal relationship believers can have with God.

Christianity teaches that one can have a personal relationship with God by trusting in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Other religions either deny the existence of Heaven, and Hell altogether, or they teach a different heaven than the one discussed in the Bible.

Christianity teaches the existence of both Heaven and Hell as creations of God. Christianity teaches heaven is only where those who trust in Jesus Christ as thier personal Lord and Savior go. Hell is where the demons,anti-christ,and Satan will go at the end of time, and where those who reject Christ go now,and those in the past who died without him in thier lives went.

Other religions teach works for salvation.

Christianity teaches that works are not a valid means for salvation.

Other religions say that Jesus Christ was and is only a good person, man, prophet, and teacher.

Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the perfect, sinless,Son of God.

Other religions teach that Jesus did not die for our sins, but that he either died as a liar, and crazy person, or that someone else died on the cross(but later claimed to be him).

Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ died for our sins.

Other religions teach that Jesus did not rise from the dead.

Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ rose from the dead bodily.

Other religions deny the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ was born supernaturally of a virgin.

Other religions deny the deity of the Holy Spirit.

Christianity teaches the Holy Spirit is God.

Other religions teach that the disciples were just people that followed the teachings of a nut case.

Christianity teaches that the disciples followed after the Son of God, and the Savior, Jesus Christ.

False Teachings Still A Big Problem

The false teachings are still a big problem area.

These teachings are found on public television,in magazines,in books, newspaper articles,on movies(VHS,DVD, and Blue Ray),on the internet,on music CD's,on the radio, and in public buildings where there are ungodly teachers speaking about such things.

This is so sad.

False Religions are still around, and many new ones are being made up every day.

Watch out for false teachings all you who have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal LORD and Savior!

Be on the look out for them, and do not let yourself be lead astray by them no matter what.

Jehovah False Witnesses: Still Leading Others Astray

I saw a flyer about some Jehovah witness convention outside the door to my home last weekend.
Must admit that I was sad to see it.

Sad because of the fact the people caught up in the whole Jehovah False Witness teachings really think they are pleasing God with thier lives.

They are not really though.

They are pleasing Satan.

This may sound harsh, but it is the truth.

Anything that opposes God is pleasing Satan.

The New World Translation that this group of people use is wrong for the following reasons:
1. It claims Jesus Christ was and is just a man, teacher, prophet, but not God.
2. It discredits the deity of the Holy Spirit (also called Holy Ghost).
3. It claims that a passage in Isaiah 43:12 is talking about Jehovah witnesses, yet in other truthful translations, unlike this one the word "Jehovah" is not even in this passage. The word Jehovah is added to this verse in the NWT,which is a direct violation of Revelation 22:18 where we are all warned not to add words,or doctrine to the Bible that is not already there.
4. It denies the crucifixion of Christ as the payment/atonement for our sin.
-claims he died on a stake, or post instead that was set on fire
5. It denies Christ bodily resurrection from the dead.
6. It teaches that only 144,000 Jehovah witnesses enter into heaven.
7. It teaches good works/deeds for salvation.
8. It takes a lot of Scripture passages out of context to suit the teachings of the Jehovah false witnesses.
9. This book claims God does not allow suffering, or trials in peoples lives.
10. This book discredits the deity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
11. This book takes away the sound doctrine from the Scriptures and turns them into mush,a lie.
12. This book teaches baptism is part of salvation, another lie.
13. The teaching about hope for the dead is the resurrection. -what a lie
14. This books teaches the earth will never be destroyed at all.
-ignores all passages in II Peter,Colossians and various other passages about false witnesses
15. Claims the soul stops existing at death.
16. Says that hell is grave for all mankind.
17. Claims Christ was created by God.
18. Claims Christ is inferior to God.
19. Says "clergy class and special titles are improper."-www.watchtower.org/jt/article_03.htm
20. Claims the only purpose for people is to be fruitful and occupy the earth.
21. Teaches only people God approves receive everlasting life.
22. Teaches Christ died as a ransom for obedient humans.
23. Teaches blood transfusions are wrong, and blood donations are too, by taking Scripture out of context again.
24. Says prayers should only be directed to Jehovah through Christ. -this is not true, there are many true biblical examples of people praying to God the Father,to the Holy Spirit, and to Christ himself
25. Teaches images are not to be used in worship.-yet the followers of this religion also follow after the Watchtower, and Awake magazines
26. Teaches we are now in the time of the end. -what is the phrase supposed to mean anyway?
27. Teaches the wicked are eternally destroyed.
-does not talk about the tormented in hell, and the lake of fire at all
-ignores this all together
28. Calls the Battle of Armageddon,"the battle of har-magedon".
29. Claims Satan will eventually be kicked out of heaven. -talking about being wrong,he was already kicked out of heaven.
1/3 of the angels were kicked out with him too.
30. Teaches Christ was born the same as any one else. -Denies the virgin birth of Christ.
31. Teaches God created Satan so he would some competition. -this sounds ridiculous, it makes no sense at all

The flyer I got just misquoted the Scripture big time, and talked about a convention being held to prove how truthful the Jehovah witness teaches are.

Truthful? It is not.

The Jehovah Witness Teachings in the New World Translation Bible,Watchtower and Awake magazines, their fliers, brochures, pamphlets, etc. are all lies.

Their teachings are nothing, but a reflection of who they really follow after, Satan, the deceiver, and Father of Lies.

Their teachings are still leading others astray from the truth.

False Prophecy Still at Large ?

Some people think that false teachings were only a thing of the past.

This is absolutely not true.

False predictions about the rapture still occur every year.

False teachings about Christ,God the Father, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, love, peace, joy, eternal life, grace, sin, heaven, hell, the creation, and more still exist even now.

One does not have to go very far to read, or hear about such things.

There are false teachings on television,by so called televangelist that ought be ashamed of themselves.

But instead they are looking at how to make themselves more rich by making empty promises to gullible people.

Then there are false teachings in books, magazines, pamphlets, the newspaper, and on the very internet itself.

So do not every forget to watch out for false teachings cause they are everywhere.

Harold Camping has made himself famous over the years since 1994 by selling books that given people a false sense of hope, and security.

He is now 89 years old,a millionare, and continues to predict dates for the rapture just so can sell more books to make himself more rich.

He is not only selfish, but is a false teacher.

He is one example of many out there.

Joel Osteen sells books to make money too. He is rich as well. He tells people giving a lot of money-in the hundreds of dollars-to his church will make them rich, happy in the Lord, will benefit them in the future, will give them hope, and that to be saved all they have to do is look within themselves for the answers.

Talk about deceitfulness at its fullest here.

The original deceiver was and still is for that matter, the Father of Lies, the devil, Satan.

Oprah Winfrey made herself rich by giving advice to people that she knows they want to here.

She claims this "I believe there are many ways to inner peace. Some people pick Buddha, some pick Jesus Christ, some pick Billy Graham, and so on..."

Somehow I do not think Billy Graham himself would agree with her.

She even goes on to say " The Bible is just a book like any other book. It is a mythological fairy tale. Anyone who belives that stuff is either old fashioned,or just plain crazy."

She claims she is part of the New Age Movement group.

She makes fun of the Bible, and the very teachings within the Bible. She says things to make herself feel better about her rejection of the truth that only comes from God's Word, the Bible.

She says this because she has rejected Christ himself, and is afraid to die.

She might not admit to this fact, but it does not change the way she feels about it.

There are many anti-christs in the world today as there was in John the disciple of Jesus Christ, who wrote the book of John, along with I,II,& III John, and the book of Revelation.

So be on the lookout for them.

Cause false prophecy is really high now.

It gets higher and higher each minute, each day, month, week, and year that goes by.

So do not let the false prophecies of today deceive you.
