The Bible Gives A Warning To Christians the about False Teachers Regulations/Restrictions in Colossians 2:16-23.
"Therefore do not let any man judge you by what you eat or drink,or with regard to a religious festival, A New Moon celebration, or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews,grows as God causes it to grow."- Colossians 2:16-19
"Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!" ? -vs. 20-21

False Religions Deny...
How are other religious teachings different than what Christianity teaches?
*This is a question that Greg Laurie-radio pastor on the 830 Am Station has been asked many times,along with others.
The answer is simple.
For starters other religions have many books that they use to teach their views.
Christianity on the other hand only uses the Bible.
Other religions deny the personal relationship believers can have with God.
Christianity teaches that one can have a personal relationship with God by trusting in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
Other religions either deny the existence of Heaven, and Hell altogether, or they teach a different heaven than the one discussed in the Bible.
Christianity teaches the existence of both Heaven and Hell as creations of God. Christianity teaches heaven is only where those who trust in Jesus Christ as thier personal Lord and Savior go. Hell is where the demons,anti-christ,and Satan will go at the end of time, and where those who reject Christ go now,and those in the past who died without him in thier lives went.
Other religions teach works for salvation.
Christianity teaches that works are not a valid means for salvation.
Other religions say that Jesus Christ was and is only a good person,man, prophet, and teacher.
Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the perfect,sinless,Son of God.
Other religions teach that Jesus did not die for our sins,but that he either died as a liar,and crazy person, or that someone else died on the cross(but later claimed to be him).
Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ died for our sins.
Other religions teach that Jesus did not rise from the dead.
Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ rose from the dead bodily.
Other religions deny the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ was born supernaturally of a virgin.
Other religions deny the deity of the Holy Spirit.
Christianity teaches the Holy Spirit is God.
Other religions teach that the disciples were just people that followed the teachings of a nut case.
Christianity teaches that the disciples followed after the Son of God, and the Savior, Jesus Christ.

False Religions:Lead People Astray By Words They Want to Hear
False Religions always...
1. Include ungodly deeds
2. Tell people what they want to hear.
3. Make things sound better than they really are.
4. Have their own books,articles, magazines,and now websites to follow.
5. Want to be men pleasers instead of pleasers of God
6. Take the Scripture out of context by adding things to it,and taking away other things from it.
7. Make men sound like something they are not.
8. Coat the truth over with fiction.
9. Promise something new.
10. Have works as means for salvation
11. Lie about heaven,hell,sin, God,the Bible, creation,and much more.
12. Promise riches for those who invest in thier teachings.
13. Give people a false hope,false sense of reality.
14. Make up answers for things they do not know the answer too.

Gnosticism
Gnosticism is one of the many false religions in the world. It teaches that all matter is evil.
- 2 ideas behind what to do about this...
- 1. isolation from all others to avoid germs,etc. since matter is bad.
- 2. Since the soul is okay, and matter is what is evil, immorality--sexual impurity--fornication, adultery,etc. is acceptable
- Teaches that Jesus Christ is not God. He is just another spiritual being like the angels.

Cults never teach what you need to hear.
They teach what you want to hear. This is why cults do not teach the truth about sin,Satan,God, salvation, spiritual growth, demons, angels, and the Bible.
They want to be people pleasers. -that is they care about attention from "the world"-people
They care nothing about pleasing God.
They will be judged by God for deceiving many.
Cult leaders and those who follow after them are in danger.

More False Teachings From the Cults
The cults teach things that have to be taken by faith. Though a false faith, a cult is a form of faith about something. The cults teach these ideas about the tribulation: 1. It is not happening. 2.It will happen,but only those who force their beliefs on others are in it. 3. Everyone except the 144,000 chosen people -Jehovah Witnesses teach this- will take part in the tribulation. 4. The tribulation is something made up by Christians to scare people. 5. There is no proof in the Bible about the tribulation or elsewhere, so why teach this myth. 6. The tribulation will take place by....then, they try to predict when it will take place. 7. The tribulation is an inner struggle between yourself and your inner Karma.
The cults teach that it is wrong to say that their is only one way, or path,road to Heaven. They teach their are many ways, paths, roads there. They teach that the one you take is which ever one suits you.
They teach that you can not tell someone which god to serve either. They say that God is different for each person-so essentially, they teach there are many "gods."

Spiritual Darkness= False Religions
False Religions are part of the spiritual darkness of this world. Ephesians Chapter 6 explains it well, when it says "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,but against principles, powers, and rulers of darkness of this world." There is a spiritual battle going on.
The most popular thing is to go by the secular/humanistic view which is that God does not know what is talking about. However, it is not the right thing to do. The truth is God always knows what he is talking about. He always has and always will for that matter.
The cults claim all sorts of lies. They teach that people can look to their inner selves for answers. This is untrue because everyone sins. That is everyone does bad things that makes God sad. Yet all the cults deny that we are sinners.

Cults: False Teachings that Satan Likes
Cults are also something that Satan, the enemy of God, likes. He likes them because they deceive others. That is these so called "religions" teach things to people that are wrong because they are contrary to the Bible due to the lies they teach about everything.
II Peter Chapter 3 and I John warns about the lies that false teachers hold too. They tell us that "...whoever denies that Jesus is the Son of God..." is not a "...believer..." and those who acknowledge that he is a true follower of God. These passages also teach us that those who acknowledge the Son of God, acknowledge God the Father too, and vice versa. The II Peter passage tells us that false teachers are condemned by God, are to be judged as liars, and that whoever follows after them are not saved. So those who are follow after the cults beliefs are in danger.
